Child Photographer: Lumberjack mini shoot

One of the reasons that I began this photography journey in the first place was to capture Brody in all his creative play.  The kid has an imagination twice the size of Texas.  Sometimes he decides what he wants to do for some creative images and sometimes I find things for him. I was browing on Etsy.com one day looking for different props for some upcoming shoots and ran across this really awesome beard.  It was a complete overcast day yesterday, which is exactly what I had in mind for the mood of the shoot. It was great getting out since the rain has kept us in for most of the Christmas break. Although the rain did cut us short.....

I would have loved to have gotten more, but the rain shut us out early! If you are interested in a beard of your own, check out CuppaStitches.etsy.com! And you know my big kid would not let the day go by without trying on the beard.

He's gonna kill me for that!!

It also provided an opportunity to start on my New Year's resolution of being IN the pictures....when you are always behind the camera, that's a hard thing to accomplish.  If you saw this image post yesterday, you know that this also started a 365 project for me as well.  I'm going by daily prompts from www.bethadilly.com and would love for you to join me!! Also, with a new year comes new things for Stacy Coker Photography.  I'm working on updating my website and pricing AND taking on some teaching duties!! :) So if you signed up for the class, make sure you get the email filled out and sent back to me ASAP!! I'm loving the replies and some of the images I have all ready received! I can't wait to watch you all grow on your own photography journey!!

Love,
Stacy
